Sesta Rosso di Montalcino 2019

Sangiovese in its natural state. Considered to be the younger brother of Brunello, more often than not you’ll be finding yourself enjoying a Rosso due its drinkability in its youth and, let’s face it, the fact that it can be had for a fraction of its big brother. Win. Aged for one year in giant oak barrels, Sesta’s Rosso should be drunk young, although it does last with ageing, and shows an abundance of red fruit and blackberry on the nose. On the palate, it is pleasing and well-orchestrated with good length and smooth, warm tannins. 95 in Decanter!
