Schlink Haus Dornfelder Sweet Red 2021

Named in honor of an 18th century finance minister of Wurttemberg who did a lot to advance viticulture and viniculture in Germany. The grape is a prolific grower, and a relatively early ripener, with a very convoluted family tree. It was initially bred in Wurttemberg in 1955 to serve as a blending grape to improve the color of pale red wines. Today, Dornfelder grapes make outstanding fruit-driven wines that need no assistance from other grape varieties. Fruity Dornfelder unites the irresistible flavor of wonderful, matured plums, juicy red berries and sun kissed sweet cherries to create a wine experience filled with unique fruitiness.
