Revelry Range Grenache/Syrah 2017
3799
The interplay between Granache and Syrah is a dramatic and complex performance. 2017 is a vintage with firm structure and tremendous aging potential. Though it accounts for only 35% for the wine, the Syrah is ever present here, contributing a great amount of minerality and earthen texture. The two grapes coalesce into flavors of Black Mission Fig, freshly pickled marjoram, and a tannin structure that seems more like that of a fine cocoa than grape or oak. The wine is refined, it is layered, and it will drink well for a very long time.
