Fleur des Pedesclaux is the second wine of 5th growth classified Chateau Pedesclaux. It is meant to be drink earlier than the grand vin and comes from the more younger vines. Composed of 74% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon 6% Petit Verdot this is an opportunity to try a wine from the same terrior as Lafite and Mouton Rothschild at a fraction of the cost. Pauillac's gravely terrior is world renowned. The 2016 Fleur des Pedesclaux has a rich bouquet of ripe plum, dried herbs and spices. On the palate the wine is soft, approachable with concentrated red and black fruit, silky tannins and intense finish.
