When tasting blind in a flight of Cabernet's, it appeared this would have been the most expensive. However, the judges were delighted to later find out it was only $30, as price plays a big role with our scores. No mistake this is a Cabernet from the first sip. It has the signature bold, dark fruit flavors of blackberry and dark cherry along with the acid and tannin a well-made Cab should have. When crafting intense big reds, it's easy to end up with too much grippy tannin, but this wine has just the right amount, resulting in a dry yet polished, rich, and balanced wine that tastes more like $50 than $30.
