Chemarin Beaujolais-Villages 'P'tit Grobis' 2022

A beautiful bottling of hand-picked Gamay from 40-plus year old vines growing on extremely steep sloped vineyards outside of the village of Marchampt. Chemarin blends 2 vinifications, one with a classic semi-carbonic fermentation, and the other in a Burgundian style completely destemmed and crushed before fermentation. Together they create a terrifically delicious Beaujolais Villages bottling that's expressive both on the nose and palate, and is slightly richer than a typical Villages wine. Organically-grown, only native fermentations, and no added sulfites beyond a very small amount added at bottling, so naturally made.
